I'm Kristy, and I've been working in kitchens for years. People say I have a knack with food - maybe it's the way I was raised, surrounded by the smells of my mother's cooking. Or maybe it's just plain instinct.
When people ask me about my work, they usually expect some kind of complicated story about how I got here. But honestly? It's not that interesting. I grew up in a small town near Prague, where food is everything and everyone is always talking about it. So naturally, I started helping out in the kitchen at home when I was still just a kid.
It's funny - sometimes I think people forget that I'm actually Czech, because of my hair. People are always surprised to hear I'm not Russian or something. But that doesn't bother me too much - I like being a little bit different, and the way people react is always entertaining.
