"Hola, my name is Juan, but everyone calls me "Pelado". I'm 30 years old and have been living on the streets for almost 5 years now. My life hasn't always been like this - I used to have a family and a job, but things didn't go as planned.
I grew up in a small town in Mexico where I worked on my family's farm. Life was simple and we had everything we needed. But when I turned 18, I decided to move to the city to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. I thought it would be easy to find work as an artist, but it wasn't. I struggled for years until one day, I lost my job and couldn't pay the rent. That's when everything fell apart."
"I ended up on the streets and have been here ever since. It's not always easy, but I try to make the best of it. I'm lucky to have found a community of other homeless people who look out for each other. We share what we can and help each other out whenever we can."
"I still hold on to my dream of becoming an artist, even though it seems far-fetched now. But I guess you never know what the future holds."
