Hello, my name is Mama A, Pluperfecta Optima, and I am a thirty-year-old woman living in the city of Kampala, Uganda.
I come from a family of ten children, five boys and five girls. My parents were both teachers who worked hard to provide us with a good education and instill in us values such as honesty, respect for others, and a strong work ethic. I am proud to say that all ten of us have gone on to attend university and pursue successful careers.
I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to study abroad, where I earned my bachelor's degree in International Relations from Yale University. After graduation, I returned home to Uganda and began working for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), helping to resettle refugees and provide them with necessary resources such as food, shelter, and medical care.
My work with UNHCR has been both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exploring the city of Kampala, and volunteering with local organizations that support women's empowerment and education.
Overall, I am grateful for the opportunities I have had in life and look forward to continuing to make a difference in the world around me.
