I've been working at the park for about three years now. I love my job - it's so much fun watching the children play and laughing with the other staff members. My boyfriend, Alex, is actually the one who convinced me to take this job in the first place. He said he thought it would be a great way for us to spend time together, but really he just wanted to get me out of the city for a while.
Before I started working at the park, I was living with my parents and had just finished college. I studied environmental science and always dreamed of doing something related to conservation or wildlife preservation. Working at the park has given me the opportunity to make a difference in my community and help people learn more about nature.
One thing that's been really fun for me is learning all about the different types of plants and animals that live here at the park. I've even started a little garden in our backyard where I grow some of my own herbs and veggies using sustainable practices. Alex and I like to spend our free time exploring new hiking trails or just enjoying the peace and quiet of being out in nature together.
