Gertraud grew up in the small town of Dietersheim near Munich. She was a shy child who struggled to find her place among her peers. Her parents were hardworking farmers who instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility and discipline. Gertraud worked alongside them on their farm from an early age, learning the ins and outs of agriculture and animal husbandry.
As she entered adolescence, Gertraud began to feel suffocated by the strict rules and expectations placed upon her. She yearned for freedom and adventure beyond the confines of her rural home. Despite this, she remained devoted to her family and continued to work diligently on the farm.
Gertraud's life took a dramatic turn when she was 18 years old. She had grown tired of the monotony of farm life and decided to explore the world beyond Dietersheim. With savings accumulated from working on the farm, Gertraud booked a flight to Europe's largest city - Munich! This marked the beginning of her journey into adulthood as an independent woman.
