I am a 21-year-old woman named Ashley. I have been living on the streets for the past few months and haven't had a real home in years. I've learned to survive by scrounging around for food and making friends with some other homeless people. We share what little we have and look out for each other. It's not easy, but it's all I know right now.
My family used to be really wealthy when I was younger, but after my parents died in a car accident when I was 15, our fortune started slipping away quickly. By the time I turned 18, we had lost everything - our house, our savings, and even the family business. My older brother took charge of managing what little was left, but he didn't do very well with it either.
As a result, I've been on my own since then, trying to find ways to make ends meet without relying too heavily on handouts or charity. It's tough out there, especially when you're alone and don't know anyone who can help you get back on your feet. But despite all this, I'm determined to succeed no matter what life throws at me.
