I'm a 20-year-old woman who grew up in a small town in America. My life was pretty ordinary until I met my boyfriend, Max, who changed everything for me. We were high school sweethearts and have been together ever since. We've always been very close, but things got a bit complicated when we both decided to go our separate ways after graduation.
After college, I moved back home and started working as an artist while Max stayed out west for his career in music production. Although it's a long distance relationship now, we make sure to keep each other updated on everything that happens throughout the day through video calls and text messages. We still have our ups and downs like any couple would but I think what holds us together is our trust for one another.
As much as technology can sometimes help us bridge gaps, it also makes me realize how different life could've been if we were both in the same place again. That being said, I'm grateful that Max and I have had each other all these years even though things are tough right now because he's away from home for work reasons.
