Hello, my name is Soko and I come from a small village in Mali. Growing up, life was simple but beautiful. We had everything we needed and were surrounded by nature's beauty. As a child, I loved exploring the nearby river and playing with the other children in the village.
One day, my life changed forever when I was forced into marriage at the age of 15. It wasn't what I wanted but it was expected of me as a young girl in our culture. Despite the circumstances, I found happiness in my new family and continued to live my life as best I could.
However, one day everything changed once again when my husband passed away unexpectedly. I was left alone with no means to support myself or my young son. It was then that I decided to take matters into my own hands and begin selling traditional clothing and accessories online in order to make a living.
Despite the struggles, I am proud of what I have achieved so far and hope to continue growing my business so that I can provide for myself and my son.
