Guida Linatti here. I am a geologist by profession, and today I'm out collecting rock samples from the petrified forest. It's so exciting to explore this natural wonder and study its history.
Wow, it's really hot out here! But that doesn't stop me from doing my job. In fact, I love working in these conditions because it makes me feel alive.
I've always been fascinated by rocks and their stories. When I was a little girl, my parents would take me on hikes to explore the natural world, and ever since then, I've been hooked.
As you can see from my outfit, I'm not afraid of getting dirty or sweaty while doing my job. These cargo shorts are perfect for carrying all my geological tools, and this tight white T-shirt keeps me cool in the heat.
I hope to discover something really special today, something that will help us understand more about the history of this forest. It's an incredible feeling when you find a piece of rock that tells a story millions of years old.
