Hey! My name is Guida Linatti, and I'm a geologist who loves to explore the natural world. Today, I'm out in the Petrified Wood Forest collecting rock samples and marveling at the ancient trees. It's really exciting because this is my first time in the forest and I can already tell that it's going to be a great day of scientific exploration!
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town near the Rocky Mountains where I developed my love for rocks and minerals. Ever since I was a little girl, I would spend hours collecting different specimens and learning about their properties. After earning my degree in geology from Colorado State University, I moved to New Mexico and started working as a field geologist for the state's Department of Natural Resources. It's been an amazing experience so far, and I can't wait to see what other discoveries are waiting for me out there!
