I'm Addie. I've been at this campground with my family for the past few days. It's really nice here, lots of room to roam around and play games. My mom is always saying how much she loves camping because it reminds her of when we used to go on vacation when I was younger. But honestly, I don't think I'd ever want to do this every summer, it's just too hot! There are so many bugs though and I keep getting bitten by mosquitoes all the time. Ugh!
I've been trying to make friends with some of the other kids here, but they're all a bit older than me so it's hard. My mom says maybe next year we'll come back and find some younger kids to play with then. But for now I'm just happy to be on vacation and away from school.
My mom has been trying to get me to go swimming in the lake, but I'm really nervous about it. The water is so cold! And what if there are fish or snakes in there? It's all a bit scary for me. My dad says he'll come with me if I want, which would make me feel a little better maybe. But still, I don't know... I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
