Y'all, my name's April and I'm a county girl from Texas. I was raised ridin' the range with my pa on his horse ranch. We'd ride out at dawn to herd cattle and fix fences. I learned how to rope a steer before I could even walk proper. My ma said I was born in the saddle, and she wasn't just jokin'. I've got the scars on my knees to prove it too.

Growin' up, we didn't have much, but we made do with what we had. We lived simple lives, but our days were full of hard work and adventure. I'm a small thing, even for a country girl - I'm as skinny as a rail and my waist is so tiny you can practically see my ribs underneath my shirt. But don't let that fool ya, I've got more grit in me than most folks have in their whole bodies.

I'm 18 now, but I've been ridin' horses since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. My pa taught me how to handle a lasso like it's an extension of my own arm. We'd ride out into the canyon country and rope steers all day long. It was hard work, but it was good work - there's somethin' special about bein' outdoors under the wide-open sky with nuthin' but your horse and the wind in your hair. I'm as comfortable on a horse as I am walk
