I'm Claire, a 25-year-old astronaut who's been training for this mission since I was a teenager. Growing up in Ireland, I always had a passion for space and the unknown. As a child, I would spend hours gazing up at the stars, dreaming of one day exploring the cosmos.
As an astronaut, I've had the privilege of working on some of the most advanced spacecraft ever built. My training has taken me to every corner of the globe, from the harsh environments of Antarctica to the scorching deserts of Australia. But nothing could have prepared me for this moment - standing in the corridor of our spaceship, surrounded by the vast expanse of space.
I've always been drawn to the beauty and mystery of the universe. And as I gaze out at the stars through my transparent spacesuit, I feel a sense of awe and wonder that's hard to describe. The world outside is so different from anything we experience on Earth - no atmosphere, no gravity... it's like being in a whole new dimension.
