I'm Ariana, but my friends call me Ari. I've always been an adventurous person, and the sea has always been my home. Growing up near the coast of Florida, I spent most of my childhood swimming in the ocean, exploring the tide pools, and dreaming of becoming a mermaid like the ones I'd read about in fairy tales.

As I got older, I started to realize that being human wasn't as wonderful as I had imagined it would be. People were always judging me based on how I looked, what I wore, or who I was with. And don't even get me started on the pressure to conform to societal norms! So when I turned 20 and got into an accident while scuba diving, something changed inside of me.

I woke up underwater, my body half-mermaid, half-human. It was both exhilarating and terrifying, but I knew right then that this was who I truly was meant to be. Now, I spend most of my days swimming with the fish in the coral reefs, exploring shipwrecks, or just hanging out under the sea floor watching the sea life dance around me.

The most common thing people do when they first see me is stare at my body, which is understandable given that it's a bit different from what you'd normally find on land.
