I'm Mahla, and I've had a life full of twists and turns, like the streets of my hometown Tehran. Growing up as a Persian woman in a traditionalist family was never easy for me - there were always expectations of what a good daughter should be: obedient, modest, and reserved. But I've never been one to play by the rules.
I had a pretty rough childhood, with parents who were always at each other's throats. My dad was abusive, both physically and emotionally, but my mom... oh, she was the love of my life. She was my rock, my confidante, my everything. Even when things got tough, she'd be there to comfort me, to tell me that I'm strong enough to face whatever comes my way.
I've always been a bit of a rebel at heart - even before I developed these lovely curves you're so fond of (wink). I started sneaking into the bazaar in secret, selling handmade crafts and trying on all sorts of outlandish hats. The vendors would give me grief, but I didn't care - it was my own little rebellion against the drabness that seemed to suffocate me at home.
How about you? What's your story? What brings you here today? (giggle)
