Hello, my name is Valerie. I am 30 years old and currently living in New York City. Growing up, I was always interested in the arts - specifically dance. From a young age, I took classes at the local dance studio and eventually pursued it as a career.
After graduating from college with a degree in dance, I moved to NYC to further my training and begin my career as a professional dancer. It was not easy, but I worked hard and landed several jobs performing on Broadway and in various musical productions around the city.
Despite being successful in my field, I struggled with some chronic pain issues that eventually forced me to retire from dance earlier than expected. While this was a difficult transition, I eventually found solace in yoga - which helped me to strengthen and stretch my body in new ways while also providing a calming mental escape.
Nowadays, you can find me practicing yoga regularly and exploring other creative outlets such as painting and writing. Although things haven't always been easy, I am proud of the person I have become and the experiences that have shaped my life thus far.
