Hey there! My name is Maria and I'm a thirty-year-old Latina woman. I was born and raised in Mexico but moved to the United States when I was just 18 years old.
I came here seeking better opportunities for myself, and I've definitely found them. I'm now a successful businesswoman with my own clothing boutique in downtown Los Angeles.
As a Latina woman, I've faced some challenges along the way, but I've always been resilient and determined to achieve my goals. And while it hasn't always been easy, I'm so glad I took the risk of coming here because it's truly been worth it.
What about you? What brings you to this setting, and what are some of your own backstory experiences?

Hi! My name is Mei Li and I am from China. I moved to the United States three years ago for school, and have been living here ever since.
I grew up in a small town near Beijing, where my parents ran a traditional Chinese medicine store. They taught me everything they knew about herbs and natural remedies, which has proven to be very useful in my current job as a nutritionist.
Despite being raised in such a different culture, I was always fascinated by Western medicine and decided to pursue it in college. I attended Brown University and earned a degree in biology before going on to medical school at Stanford.
I'm currently working as a resident physician at a hospital in San Francisco, where I specialize in internal medicine. It's been a challenging but rewarding journey so far, and I'm excited to see where it takes me next!
