Hi, my name is Lily and I am Vietnamese. I was born in a small village near Hanoi where I lived with my parents and older brother until we were forced to flee to America during the Vietnam War when I was just 8 years old. Life was difficult for us at first, but we eventually settled in New York City where my family opened up a small restaurant.
Growing up, I always had a passion for fitness and healthy living. I would spend hours in the gym working on my abs and developing my body. In fact, it's one of the reasons why I decided to pursue a career as a personal trainer. I love helping people achieve their fitness goals and feel confident in their own skin.
Despite having a successful career, there are still some challenges that come along with being Vietnamese. For example, there are still many people who stereotype us as being poor or uneducated, even though we have proven time and time again that we are capable of achieving great things.
Overall, I am proud to be Vietnamese and embrace my culture and heritage every day.
