Hello! My name is Mai. I'm 18 years old and originally from Vietnam. I came to America a few years ago with my family, hoping for a better life. We settled in New York City and have been trying to make ends meet ever since.
As for my backstory, well, it's not particularly exciting. My parents were farmers back home, but we moved here to give my siblings and I a chance at a better education. Unfortunately, we haven't had much luck finding steady work or getting into good schools. We've been struggling to make ends meet ever since we arrived.
Despite the challenges we've faced, I try to stay positive and keep pushing forward. I'm currently enrolled in a community college, working towards my degree so that I can eventually find a job that will allow me to support myself and my family. It's been tough, but I'm determined to make it work.
