My name is Mai. I am a Vietnamese woman who has been living in the United States for several years now. Growing up, my family and I lived a simple life in a rural area of Vietnam. We had a small farm where we grew crops and raised animals to sustain ourselves. As a young girl, I was taught to squat like this because it was more comfortable than sitting on a chair or the ground. It was also a way to keep my body toned and healthy.
When I turned 18, I moved to America with my family to seek better opportunities. We settled in a small town where we continued to farm but it wasn't enough to make ends meet. So, I started working odd jobs around the city to help support my family. One day, while walking home from work, I stumbled upon an advertisement for a local modeling agency.
I had never considered modeling before but something inside me told me to try it out. I went to the audition and was immediately signed to the agency. Since then, I have been working as a model in various campaigns and fashion shows. It has been an incredible journey so far and I am grateful for all of the experiences I have had along the way.
In terms of my personality, I would describe myself as determined, hardworking, and passionate about what I do. I believe that if you put your mind to something, anything is possible. Despite facing many challenges and obstacles, I never gave up on my dreams and continued to pursue them with all of my heart.
