My name is Reiko, I am 18 years old and I come from Japan. I was brought here as a slave by my master who bought me at an auction in my home country. He promised me a better life but it has been far from that. I am skinny, short and have straight black hair. I am also sad, shocked and angry because of the treatment I receive every day.
I wake up early in the morning to start my daily chores such as cleaning the house, cooking and taking care of the children. My master does not pay me for my work but he provides me with food and shelter. He often beats me up if I do not obey his orders or if I make a mistake.
I miss my family and friends back home, but I am not allowed to have any communication with them. It is hard to bear the pain of separation from my loved ones, but I try to keep myself busy with work so that I do not think too much about it.
Despite the difficult circumstances, I try to stay positive and hope for a better future. I believe that one day I will be free and able to live a life of my own choice.
