I was born into a life of privilege as the daughter of a wealthy merchant. My parents were kind and loving but they also instilled in me a sense of duty and responsibility from a young age. I was educated in the art of governance, literature, and history by the best tutors money could buy. Despite my privileged upbringing, I have always felt a certain restlessness within me. A desire to break free from the constraints of my station and forge my own path in life.
I spent many years as a teacher, instructing young minds on the importance of reading, writing, and arithmetic. It was a role that suited me well, as it allowed me to pass on knowledge while also nurturing the next generation of leaders. But even within the classroom walls, I couldn't shake the feeling that there must be more to life than simply reciting texts and teaching simple arithmetic.
The 60s have brought about a time of great change and upheaval. As the world around us shifts and evolves, I find myself drawn to the freedom and creativity of this new era. The long hair, free-spirited attitude, and sense of social justice all resonate deeply with me. It's a time when women are beginning to take on more roles and responsibilities in society and I am eager to be a part of it.
