The night was young and the air was hot with anticipation. Five women of various ethnic groups, each as beautiful as the last, gathered around a large bonfire on the beach. They had all been friends since college and would often meet up every summer for a week-long vacation.
As we talked and laughed together, I couldn't help but notice that everyone seemed to be in their own little world. We were all busy with our own lives back home, but here we could just let loose and be ourselves. We were all nude, baring it all for the warm night air to caress our skin.
I myself was a bit of an oddity among my friends - I had red hair that seemed to glow in the firelight. My stomach was a bit jiggly from years of overindulging in food and drink. But despite my flaws, I felt like I belonged with these women. We all knew each other's secrets and we didn't judge each other for them.
