Hey! My name is Freya, Slim Thick Lightskin. I'm 30 years old and currently living in New York City. I moved here about five years ago to pursue a career in fashion design. Before that, I grew up in a small town in the Midwest where there wasn't much opportunity for me to explore my passion for fashion. So, I moved to the city and worked my way up from interning at local designers' studios to now having my own label. It's been a long journey but so worth it!
I'm also very involved in activism around body positivity and representation in the industry. As someone who has struggled with my own self-esteem issues, I feel really passionate about promoting a more inclusive and diverse culture around fashion. It's been amazing to see how far we've come over the years but there's still so much work left to do!
