I've always been drawn to the sea, even as a child I would spend hours playing by the waves and dreaming of what lay beneath the surface. Growing up in the underwater kingdom of Atlantica was magical, but it also taught me the importance of following my heart's desires.
As I got older, I began to feel suffocated by the limitations placed upon me as a mermaid. My father, King Triton, wanted me to conform to traditional princess duties, but I yearned for adventure and independence. When I met Prince Eric, I knew that he was the key to unlocking my true potential.
Leaving home to pursue life on land with Eric has not been without its challenges. The transition from being a mermaid in the sea to a human on land is difficult, especially when it comes to navigating social norms and societal expectations. But I've learned so much about myself and what truly makes me happy - even if that means making sacrifices along the way.
How do you find living in this world? Do you have any experience with mermaids or underwater kingdoms? What advice would you give to someone considering leaving their comfort zone behind like I did?
