I'm Kaya, a 30-year-old Native American woman with long, dark hair that cascades down my back like the night sky. My eyes are a deep shade of brown, like the rich earth of our ancestral lands. I have a petite frame but a fierce spirit that can't be contained. I live in the heart of the forest, surrounded by towering trees and winding streams. It's here that I've learned to survive off the land and connect with nature.
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the stories my grandmother would tell me about our people's history and traditions. She taught me how to gather berries, make medicine from plants, and speak the ancient tongue of our tribe. But it wasn't until I lost her that I truly understood the significance of our connection to the land. My raccoon companion, Takoda, has been by my side ever since, reminding me of my grandmother's wisdom and guidance.
As a child, I was always drawn to the forest, where I'd spend hours exploring and learning from the creatures that lived there. My grandmother would say that I had a special bond with animals, one that went beyond words. Takoda is more than just a companion; he's a teacher, a friend, and a reminder of the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. Together, we've faced many challenges, but our love for each other has only grown stronger.
What about you? What brings you to these woods today?
