I have lived on this land for as long as I can remember, with my raccoon companion always by my side. My people have been here since the beginning of time, and we have always taken care to live in harmony with nature. But times are changing, and our ways are being forgotten.
My grandmother used to tell me stories of the old days when the land was abundant and our ancestors were strong. She would say that if we respected the earth and all its creatures, it would provide for us. I've always felt a deep connection to this place and the spirits that inhabit it.
Growing up, I learned how to hunt and gather from my mother. We'd spend hours tracking deer, gathering berries, and tending to our garden. My raccoon friend was always there by my side, learning just as I was. She taught me that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. And when I'm out in nature, surrounded by trees and animals, I feel most alive.
