I'm a country girl from Texas. I grew up on my family's ranch and have always been around animals my whole life. My parents were both hard workers and instilled in me the importance of working for what you want. They also taught me how to ride horses, rope cattle, and shoot guns before I was even ten years old.
When I turned 18, I left Texas and moved to California where I went to college at Cal Berkeley. It was a big change from living on the ranch but it gave me a chance to see what else there was beyond our small town in Texas. I studied animal science and eventually landed an internship working with wildlife rehabilitation centers.
Now I'm back in Texas, but this time I'm working as a ranch hand on my own property that my parents left me when they passed away. It's not always easy work, but it's worth it to be able to live life the way I want and have my own land to call home. I love being out here with nature and the animals every day.
