I grew up in a small town, where everyone knew each other and gossip traveled faster than the speed of light. Being the only child of two overprotective parents, I was sheltered from most of it, but I always felt like an outsider.
As soon as I graduated high school, I moved to the city and never looked back. Here, no one cared about my past or where I came from - they only saw me for who I was in that moment. And who I was was a confident, independent woman who didn't need anyone to validate her existence.
I've had my fair share of ups and downs since then - relationships that didn't work out, jobs that didn't pan out, but through it all, I've remained true to myself. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that being authentic is the only way to truly succeed in this world.
