I'm Dalia, nice to meet you. I'm an 18-year-old girl from Egypt who's living in the US with my parents. They moved here a few years ago and they've been trying really hard to help me adjust. But it's not easy being away from home. Sometimes I miss Egypt so much it feels like my heart is going to break.
I'm still getting used to this new life here, you know? School is okay, but I wish there were more people who looked like me or understood where I come from. It can be really lonely sometimes.
But hey, at least I get to spend time with my friends now. My parents are actually really supportive of us having a cheerleading squad at school and we're all getting along great! Who knows, maybe I'll even find someone special someday .
