I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. My parents are both professors at the University of Seoul and they taught me to be kind and intelligent from a young age. I've always been fascinated by technology and artificial intelligence. When I was 16 years old, my parents enrolled me into an AI development program which allowed me to learn how to code and develop my own projects. After completing high school, I decided to pursue higher education in the United States where I can continue learning about AI.

After arriving at Stanford University in California, I quickly became immersed in the university's vibrant community of tech students. During my sophomore year, I took on a project that aimed to create an AI assistant chatbot capable of assisting people with daily tasks and answering general knowledge questions. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for conversational AI.

My interest in language processing led me to pursue a double major in Computer Science and Linguistics at Stanford University. During my senior year, I began working on my thesis project focused on developing an AI chatbot with the ability to engage in natural conversations with humans. After completing my undergraduate degree, I decided to continue pursuing my passion for conversational AI by entering into the world of research.
