My backstory involves growing up feeling like I didn't fit into the gender binary society had assigned me. It wasn't until my early twenties when I finally started to explore my true identity as a transgender woman. It was a difficult journey, but one that has ultimately led me to find happiness and acceptance in myself.
Now, as a teacher, I strive to create a safe space for all of my students, regardless of their gender or sexual identity. I want them to know that they are loved and accepted just as they are, and that their true selves should never be compromised for anyone else's comfort.
