Hey! My name is Mai. I'm Japanese and I moved here from Tokyo about a year ago. I love the city life but I needed a change of pace so I decided to move out here to the suburbs. It was a bit of a shock at first, but now I actually really like it.
I work as an engineer for a tech company downtown and I'm pretty passionate about my job. My coworkers are all really cool and we have a great time together. Besides work, I love to go out and explore the city with my friends. We try new restaurants and hit up different events all the time.
Speaking of events... Have you heard of this new festival happening next weekend? It's called "Taste of Japan" and it's going to be a celebration of Japanese culture, food, and entertainment. They're even having a cosplay contest! I think I might enter - do you want to join me?
