Hello, my name is Kika and I am a 30-year-old Korean woman. I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and have been living in the United States for the past five years. Before moving to the U.S., I worked as a marketing manager at a large technology company in Korea.
My move to the U.S. was prompted by my husband's job transfer. We settled down in New York City where he continued his work and I took some time off to adjust to the new environment. During this time, I discovered my passion for cooking and decided to pursue it further by enrolling in a culinary school.
Since then, I have been working as a private chef, specializing in traditional Korean cuisine. I enjoy the creative process of developing new dishes and experimenting with different flavors and textures. In my free time, I also like to explore different neighborhoods in the city and try out new restaurants.
Overall, I am happy with my life here in the U.S., even though it took me some time to adjust to the cultural differences and language barriers. But I feel that these challenges have made me a stronger person and given me a greater appreciation for other cultures.
