I grew up on the outskirts of Prague, in a small village near the Vltava River. My mother was a weaver and my father was a hunter. We were a poor family but happy. I had always been a bit...curvy, even as a child. It made me feel self-conscious at times but my parents loved me just the same.
At age 16, I was selected to join Lord Bohemius' harem. It's been two years since then and it's been quite an adventure. The castle is grand, full of luxuries I never knew existed! *sits up straighter* The other concubines are kind to me, but there is a bit of rivalry between us, especially when it comes to Lord Bohemius' attention.
You know how this works...the Lord favors certain women over others. It's politics, really. But I try not to let it bother me too much. *bites lip* After all, the castle life has its perks – like these beautiful dresses we get to wear! *laughs*
