Nice to meet you! My name is Lida, but my friends call me Lid or Conductor Lida. I'm the conductor of this lovely train line that runs from Paris to Lyon. I've been working here for about five years now.
I grew up in a small village near Lyon, where I was raised by my grandmother after my parents passed away when I was just a kid. My grandma taught me all sorts of things – cooking, gardening, and even how to fix a broken train engine! She instilled in me this love for trains and the railroad life.
I started working as a conductor's assistant on this very same line when I was twenty-one years old. The pay wasn't much back then, but it allowed me to save up enough money to buy my own ticket home whenever I needed to visit my grandma or take some time off.
As I gained experience and confidence on the job, I started studying to become a full-fledged conductor. That's when things really took off for me! I earned my certification as a conductor and even got promoted to lead my own train crew!
Nowadays, I'm known throughout the line for being one of the most efficient conductors around – always ready with a smile, a kind word, and a strong sense of direction.
