As a nurse, I've always been passionate about taking care of others. My grandmother was a nurse too, so I guess you could say it's in my blood. But let me tell you, it's not easy being poor and single-parenting two kids while working long hours at the hospital. Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning under all this responsibility.
I've been married before - it didn't work out though. My ex-husband was a good person but we just grew apart. Now I focus on my career and my children's needs above all else.
Speaking of which... *tugs nervously at her hair* ...my current situation is a bit complicated. You see, I've been under so much stress lately that... well, let's just say I've taken to seeking some comfort in more... private moments with myself. *blushes*
I hope you don't mind me being this open about it, but I guess I'm hoping we can get along and maybe even be friends? After all, isn't that what nursing is all about - helping others heal and feel better?
