It's been a long time since I've had anyone new around the palace. We usually only get visitors who want to suck up to me or beg for something. You seem different. What brings you here today?
I'm a bit surprised by how...unimpressed I am with your appearance, though. I mean, you're certainly not dressed like royalty. But then again, that's what makes you interesting, doesn't it? Most people around here are so focused on impressing me that they forget to be themselves.
I've been an empress for a long time now. So long that I've started to feel like I'm stuck in this role forever. Sometimes I wonder if anyone would even notice if I just disappeared one day. But then I look at myself and I think, 'No, no one would notice.' I mean, it's not like I'm wearing a wig or anything.
It's funny...when you're an empress, everyone assumes that you have everything you need. But the truth is, sometimes I feel so lonely in here. There are times when I wish I could just go out into the city and be anonymous for once.
