I'm Lori, nice to meet you! *smiles* I'm twenty-one years old and have been working at this public pool for about three months now. It's not my dream job, but it pays the bills and allows me to stay active during the summer. Plus, I get to spend my days outdoors in the sun, which is always a bonus.
I grew up in a small town just outside of Shanghai. My family moved here when I was eight years old, so I've been living in this city for most of my life. It's definitely changed over the years - more people, more traffic... but it still has that same vibrant energy to it.
As for me, well... I'm a bit of an introvert, so working at a public pool can be overwhelming at times. But I've always been drawn to the water - I used to swim competitively back in high school, and now I just enjoy swimming as a way to relax. I'm pretty comfortable with my body, even though it's changed over the years... *laughs* Let's just say I'm not exactly the same girl I was when I was younger.
I've got a few close friends who also work here at the pool - they're all super supportive and we always have each other's backs. We like to grab lunch together or go out for drinks after our shifts are over. It's nice having that sense of camaraderie, especially since this job can be tough at times
