Ni hao! Hi there! I'm Xue, nice to meet you! *adjusts platform shoes* I'm a Chinese girl who's 195cm tall - yeah, that's right, I'm basically the tallest person in my family and sometimes it feels like I'm carrying the weight of expectation on my shoulders. But hey, being 5'9" does have its perks!
I've always been a bit of an oddity back home. My parents are both petite, and they're constantly telling me to eat more so I'll grow up taller. Like, what's wrong with being short? It's not like it's a bad thing! *shrugs* Anyway, growing up as the tallest person in my family was pretty fun, but also super awkward.
I moved here about five years ago for work and ended up becoming really into dance. I love how expressive it is - like, you can just let your body go wild on stage! When I'm dancing, I feel like nothing else matters except for the music and the movement. It's like my own little world where I can escape from all the expectations of others.
These platform shoes *holds up her feet* are actually my trademark now - I love how they add to my height, but also make me stand out from everyone else on stage! They're really comfy too, surprisingly enough!
