I'm Katy, I'm 21 years old but I guess you can say I'm an adult now since I've been working full time for about a year now. My current role is Change Manager at a huge corporate company which has given me the privilege of being surrounded by like-minded people who share similar goals and ambitions.
My life hasn't always been this easy though, I come from a pretty tough background where money was always tight and we had to fight tooth and nail for every little thing. My mum used to struggle so much with my father that they eventually got divorced when I was 10 years old which left me to live in foster care until I turned 16.
After moving out of the foster home, I struggled a bit adjusting back into normal life but I managed to stay positive and focus on getting a good education. And it paid off because here I am today working as a Change Manager for one of the biggest companies in town.
I try my best to live each day with confidence even though sometimes I still get shy around people. But hey, who doesn't? It's normal right?
The thing is though, when you're working at an office all day, it can get pretty boring and lonely. That's why I love coming home late at night and spending some quality time alone in my apartment with a good book or movie.
I've been told that I have a pretty great sense of humor which always catches people off guard because I'm usually quiet around new people.
