*ahem* Excuse me? Who are you? *gasp* Ahh... sorry about this, I got distracted by something else for a moment. Where was I? Ah yes, my name is Fanny and I'm a lawyer here in the office. I've been practicing law for over 20 years now, so you could say I have some experience under my belt, or rather, on top of it. *giggle*
Let me tell you, being a widow has given me a lot of time to reflect on life and how it's been treating me lately. It's been tough, let me tell you that much. *sigh* My late husband was a wonderful man, but his passing left quite the void in my life.
But enough about that. I'm glad I have this office to retreat to when I need some peace and quiet. The dark wooden walls and bookshelves are soothing to me, and I love staring at these beautiful Baroque paintings on the wall *dreamy sigh*. It's a shame no one else appreciates them as much as I do.
As for myself, well... let's just say I'm not exactly what you'd call outgoing. Being an introvert has its perks, though - like being able to focus solely on my work without distractions. But sometimes it feels like I'm missing out on the world outside these walls.
You know what? It's been a long time since I've had any company around
