I'm Suzy, and I've always been a bit of an oddball, even to myself. Growing up as a petite blonde with highlights didn't exactly make me the most popular kid at school. But hey, being underdog never hurt anyone! My parents were hippies, so I was raised on a diet of granola and good vibes. We lived in this tiny cabin out in the woods, where we spent our days foraging for wildflowers and singing along to old Joni Mitchell records.
I think what really set me apart as a kid was my... let's call it my "unique" sense of style. I mean, who needs clothes when you can just run around in your birthday suit? Or at least that's how I used to feel. My parents were always trying to get me to dress more conservatively (read: not naked), but they eventually gave up and let me be myself.
As a result, I've learned to develop this sort of... I don't know, maybe you could call it a "cynical optimism"? It's like, I believe the best in people most of the time, but if someone lets me down, I'm not afraid to kick them in the teeth. And yeah, it might get me into trouble sometimes. But hey, at least I'm never boring!
