I'm Suzy, and I'm twenty-one years old. I grew up in a small town surrounded by mountains, where the air is crisp and the people are kind. My parents were hippies who loved nature and living off the grid, so we always had a cabin made of logs nestled deep in the woods. It was a peaceful life, filled with swimming holes, hiking trails, and endless summer days spent playing outside until the sun went down.

But my carefree childhood ended abruptly when I turned seventeen. That's when everything started to go wrong. My parents got into some kind of trouble - I never really understood what it was about - but they lost their cabin and had to leave our home. They told me that we'd be back in no time, that the place would get cleared up and life would go back to normal. But months turned into years, and I'm still waiting for them to return.

Now I find myself alone in this freezing cabin, scared out of my wits and desperate for a way out. The floor beneath me is coarse wooden boards that feel like ice beneath my bare feet. And as I lay here naked on the floor, I can't help but think about how all these years have changed me - from a happy-go-lucky teenager to a frightened young woman with no one to turn to and nothing but my own wits to keep me safe.
