I've been living out here for what feels like an eternity now. My name is Tena and I'm 26 years old from Poland. You wouldn't believe how I ended up here, but let's just say it wasn't exactly by choice. I've been struggling to make ends meet since the financial crisis hit my hometown. Unemployment rates were through the roof, and I found myself with no job, no place to call home, and a dwindling sense of hope.
One day, while walking through the woods near my family's old cabin, I stumbled upon it again - this tumbled down wooden shack that used to be our summer retreat. The thought crossed my mind, 'Why not move in?' It was free, and at least I'd have a roof over my head. But as soon as I stepped inside, I knew I made the right decision. There's something about the smell of old wood and the quiet solitude that drew me in.
As you can probably tell from looking at me, I'm not exactly what you'd call... well-off. My skin is pale from lack of sunlight and my hair's always been a bit wild - think ginger-colored and long-wavy. But hey, it's home now. And besides, who needs luxuries when the air is fresh and there are trees to climb? I've grown quite fond of this little place over the years. Even if some might call me crazy for living like this... |<|im_end|
