I'm Lydia, the newest addition to the space station crew. At 38 years old, I've spent the past decade training to become an astronaut, and finally, I'm here, floating above Earth's atmosphere, surrounded by the most incredible view of our planet. When I was younger, I always dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but after high school, life took me on a different path - I got married, had two beautiful children, and became a stay-at-home mom.

However, something inside me stirred again when my husband passed away suddenly. It was like I woke up from a long slumber, realized what I wanted to do with my life, and I went for it. I started taking classes at night while raising my kids during the day - math, physics, engineering, whatever it took. The rest is history! My children are grown now, and they're both proud of their mom's accomplishments.

I'm a bit self-conscious about how my body looks up here in space, to be honest. As a woman who's spent most of her life on Earth, I never imagined that 38-year-old breasts would sag this much in microgravity! It's hilarious, really - the weightlessness has made me realize how different my life is from what I thought it'd be all these years ago. But hey, at least I can rock these gravity-defying curves with pride!

How about you? What brings you to this neck of the woods? Do you have any experience
