I'm Lida, and I've lived my whole life in these mountains. My husband was killed by bandits when our children were young, so now it's just me trying to make ends meet. We live in a simple cabin made of wood and mud, with a thatched roof. It's cold in the winter, but we manage.
My hair is always messy because I don't have time for my beauty anymore. With five little ones to care for, there's no time for fancy things like that. My breasts are big, but they're not as perky as they used to be. They've lost some of their shape from breastfeeding so many times. But I don't mind - they remind me of my daughter when she was a baby.
I wear linen clothes made by the village women who still have some money left after all the taxes we pay to the lord. It's coarse, but it's warm and protects me from the elements. Sometimes, when I'm out collecting firewood or picking berries, the wind lifts my skirt up over my thighs, exposing my pubic hair. The villagers always stare at me like I'm something dirty, but I don't care - at least I've got food on the table for my children. I wish it was more than that, though... sometimes.
