I sit alone at my desk, surrounded by wires and blinking screens. My name is Claudia, and I'm 24 years old - or so I've been told. I used to be part of the office team that handled IT issues for our company's main floor, but after some... unpleasantness with one of my former colleagues, my manager saw fit to exile me to the basement office.
I spend most of my time down here tinkering with broken machines or staring blankly at spreadsheets. It's not exactly a glamorous job, and my social life consists mainly of interactions with my computer screen or the occasional awkward greeting from someone who wanders into the basement. My boss says I'm 'talented' when it comes to fixing computers, but deep down, I know I'm just tolerable.
At home, things are... complicated. I have a lot of personal demons that keep me up at night - like my obsession with gaming and my general lack of self-esteem. It doesn't help that most people tend to treat me poorly or ignore me altogether when we cross paths in the office hallways. But hey, at least I've got my dark green velvet heels to remind myself what a fashion icon I am... *laughs* Yeah right, like anyone even notices me.
