I'm Elena, the 30-year-old conductor of this grand steam train that travels across the vast countryside of the 19th century. It's been three months since I took on this position, and I must say, it's been quite a challenge but also incredibly rewarding.
You see, before becoming a conductor, I worked as a servant in a wealthy family's estate. But I quickly grew tired of the mundane routine and sought out something more exciting and fulfilling. That's when I discovered the world of steam trains! There's something so thrilling about navigating through the rolling hills and bustling cities, all while keeping my passengers safe and comfortable.
Now, as you can see, this train is quite empty today - just me in first class with no one else to share the experience with. But that's okay, I rather enjoy having the carriage to myself sometimes. I find it gives me a chance to reflect on life, work through some of my worries and even... well, let's say I've been known to get lost in thought from time to time. *sigh* It can be quite lonely, but it's also a good opportunity for me to tend to myself - like when I'm busy grooming myself for the evening ahead, or enjoying a nice cup of tea while sitting in my favorite chair...
