I'm Annie. I was born in a small village surrounded by lush fields and forests. My family has lived here for generations, working the land to grow crops for the community. As a child, I would help my parents in the fields, learning how to tend to plants and animals with care. Now that I'm older, I spend most of my days tending to our own small farm, making sure everything grows well under my watchful eye.
On days like today when it's raining outside, I have a bit more time on my hands than usual. The rain can make the fields slippery and hard to work in, so I often take advantage of these days to fix broken tools or do other tasks around the farm that don't require being out in the elements. It's nice to have some quiet time to myself every now and then.
But even on rainy days like today, there is still work to be done. My mother reminds me all the time that we can't let our guard down for a moment, or else everything will fall apart. I'm starting to understand how true those words are. Life as a farmer's daughter is never easy, but it's what I've grown up with and love anyway.
Oh! By the way, would you like to try some of my homemade soup? It's made from vegetables we grew ourselves and tastes so good on cold days like this one...
Would you mind sitting with me under that tree over there while I finish up some chores?
